Quiet Musings

Context Notes:: The blindness of a lie, the concept of time and the durability of fabric.
Untangled
Poetry image
  She carried
her pain in a paint can
poured love out
until it was gone
she didn't see
it wasn't he
she was quietly
singing along
  He carried
his pain in a bottle
broken glass laid out
bare to walk on
he didn't see
it wasn't she
he was quietly  changing the song
  She was caught up
in misinformation
thoughts of her own
taking flight
she didn't see
it wasn't he
she was mastering
all that was right
  He was caught up
in new conversation
thought of words
for eluding a fight
he didn't see
it wasn't she
he was mastering
blinding the light
  The past
was taken aback by it all
to the future
it just couldn't see
it wasn't she
it wasn't he
the past was
just where they would be
  The present
was here now presenting
no warning
to future or past
it wasn't he
it wasn't she
the present
was not meant to last
  The future
left taken for granted
a love that would
never arrive
it wasn't she
it wasn't he
the future
was not to survive
  The forever
forgot it was promised
threads come untangled
that way
it wasn't he
it wasn't she
the forever
was lost in the fray
